Community shredding events in the Baltimore area and nationwide

shred dayIn addition to the local Howard County Community College GreenFest free shredding event happening today, I’ve learned about 3 other community shredding events in the Baltimore area (one is tomorrow), and if you’re not in the area, check out the Pro-Shred and Cintas Document Management websites to see if they will be in your neighborhood in the next few weeks.  Before heading out, be sure to check the rules to see what type of data is allowed. Fundraising events may also request a small fee per box or bag:

1) Pro-Shred Security Community Shredding Events
Pro-Shred will be hosting events across the nation.  Visit the website to see if there’s going to be one near you:  Pro-Shred Community Shredding Events

Locally, Pro-Shred will be holding a shed event on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at:
7401 Park Heights Ave., Baltimore, MD
Baltimore Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00  p.m.

2) Cintas Document Management also hosts free shred events for community members across the nation.  According to their website, “…all of the shredded paper is recycled into secondary paper products such as paper towels and tissue to help protect natural resource.” Cintas DM Community Shredding

Mark your calendars! If you plan to attend a shredding event on a specific day,  you’re more likely to go through your old paperwork to get ready for it.  Spring is the perfect time to do a paperwork spring-clean!
