Independent kids…organized mom!

Have a kid at your house who can get himself dressed, but isn’t quite ready to pick out his own outfits yet?  You know, the one who tried to go to school today in his swim trunks, a wool sweater, and flip flops (and it’s snowing outside)?  The Kids Daily Activity Organizer, available on Amazon.com, may be for you.  Pick out outfits for each day of the week and tuck them inside the shelves, labeled Monday through Friday.

Your child will have fun picking his outfit for the day because the whole unit rotates on its hanger for easy access to shoe pockets on the back and other large pockets on the sides.  No more scrambling in the morning to find a clean shirt and no more “creative” outfits that include pajama bottoms and a Hawaiian shirt.

  1. Let’s face it: children’s closets can get messy. I can’t be alone in this experience. If the kids are big, you risk the closet becoming a disastrous catch-all when they “clean” their bedrooms. If the kids are too little to clean or don’t have many clothes to hang, then you risk the closet becoming a catch-all for all the extra things in the house that need to be stored. Your only chance if you want to defend those closets from chaos is to arm yourself with a good offense: an organized closet.

This is an awesome idea, thanks for sharing it! My daughter can’t quite dress herself alone now but I’m sure when she starts, this will be a life saver.

Storing and organizing kids’ clothes can be a challenge especially if you have four kids sharing a room without closets like Adrien. What to do? Create the guts of a closet yourself with bookcases, shelves and colorful bins and baskets.
